I have been busy since I last posted. I completed my Master's of Education in Learning and Technology (Educational Technology) from Western Governors University in November 2016. Then I completed the Google Educator training Level 1 and Apple Teacher Certification just to study more in December and January 2017. Now I will start putting together a presentation for my school district Palm Beach Schools Technology Conference for March 2017.

Since "I do my own thing" in my computer class and it seems to be working I have decided that I need to start doing National EdTech presentations about it..... hopefully I get accepted. Fingers crossed. I plan on doing these presentations about how I stopped direct instruction and now use a more constructivists approach to students learning computers and technology. I have included STEM into this class as well as the tried and true Office Suite to teach some basics on computer applications. The internet based programs I also use mostly for coding and a Digital Citizen course I found that is very comprehensive and self directed.

I just came home from FETC and to say I think my brain froze is an understatement. There was soo much to learn and see that I am still processing it. I hope to include many of these ideas and products in a presentation for my school this week. That's it for this month and I plan to post more often. Well.... I plan to try, how about that?
